The race, which kicks off Speedweeks at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, is a world class sports road race that employs both the high-banked track used for NASCAR races and the infield road course. This 3.56 course began in 1962 as a three-hour race, then lengthened to 2000 kilometers in 1964, before becoming a 24-hour race in 1966.
The winner of this 24 hour endurance race features a three man driving team who constantly change seats to provide the team with the freshest and safest drivers. Teams are composed from professional teams from all over the world and features such household names of European automobile companies such as Lotus, Ferrari and Porsche and domestic automobile companikes such as Pontiac and Lexus.
The winning drivers are awarded, naturally, a Rolex Watch.

The "Superbowl of NASCAR", The Daytona 500, is a 200 lap (500 miles), 2.5 mile race that features a unique oval design and steeply banked 30 degree curves. This race serves as the "kickoff" of the annual NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and is one of two events in the cup series hosted by the Daytona International Speedway.
Daytona is one of four restrictor plate races on the "Cup" schedule. The Daytona 500 is regarded by many as the most important and prestigious race on the NASCAR calendar, carrying by far the largest purse.

The Daytona Beach Bike Week, is a premiere motorcycle event and rally held annually in Daytona Beach, Florida. Approximately 500,000 people make their way to the rally area for the 10-day event. The festivities include motorcycle racing, concerts, parties, and street festivals. The event is usually held on the first full week of March and contends with the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally as the most popular motorcycle rally in the United States.

The Coke Zero 400 is a 160 lap, 400 mile NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race held on the first Saturday night of July to coincide with the Independence Day weekend celebration. This race serves as the "mid-point" of the annual NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and is the second of two events in the cup series hosted by the Daytona International Speedway.

The Turkey Rod Run, held every Thanksgiving weekend, is the largest car show and swap meet in the Southeast USA. The annual registration is in excess of 5,000 show quality cars, more than 1,500 cars for sale and a swap meet with more than 4,000 vendor spaces selling new and used auto parts and accessories.
